We are glad to announce that the Abdel Halim cine-concert that was produced by the Baalbeck International Festival and performed on the steps of Bacchus temple in 2019 is travelling. It was presented at Ithra’ theatre in Saudi Arabia for 5 consecutive nights from the 11th till the 15th of October 2022.
The concert was orchestrated and conducted by Maestro Hisham Gabr with the participation of the Egyptian singers Noha Hafez and Mohamed Shawki as well as 55 musicians from the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cairo Oriental Orchestra and choir.
The concert was a huge success! It was sold out for 5 consecutive nights. The audience was singing and applauding during the whole concerts with a standing ovation of 5 minutes at the end of each show.
A team from the Festival as well as two Lebanese Technicians (sound and lighting) were present onsite for the supervision of the show.
Our presence at Ithra allowed us to open connections with the management of the theater who was very happy and satisfied with this collaboration and hopefully it will open doors for further opportunities in the future.
This is the first time that a production of the Baalbeck International Festival is presented in the Arab countries. We hope in the near future that we will be able to export more of our productions to have the image of the Baalbeck International Festival
and Lebanon shine abroad.
