Ibrahim Maalouf is an accomplished artist. He has been composing and improvising since the year 2000 where he acclaimed numerous international prizes as well as the Diploma from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. He is inspired by hip hop, electronic, African, Indian, Balkan and South American music, jazz, rock, hard rock and pop. In 2014, Ibrahim Maalouf was awarded a “Victoire de la Musique” for his album “Illusions” in the Best Album for world music category. In 2015, he was nominated for a “César” Awards for the original sound track of the movie “Yves Saint Laurent”. His participation in “Ilik ya Baalbak” in 2015 awed the public.
